What we collect
- Account details: your email address and name. If you sign in with Google we receive your email address and name from Google. We never see your Google password. If you register with email and password, we store only a protected (hashed) version of the password.
- License and device data: your license key, what you bought, when it ends, and a protected (hashed) identifier of the computer that uses it, so a license works on one computer.
- Orders and payments: what you ordered, the amount and currency, the order number, and the transfer or payment reference you send us. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never reach our servers. For bank transfers we see what appears in our own bank or PayPal account.
- Messages: feedback and problem reports you send from the website or from inside the add-in.
- Technical data: basic information such as your IP address, browser, and the add-in version, and security records of sign-ins and key actions, used to keep the service safe and stop abuse.
Why we use it
To create your account, let you start a trial, take and confirm your payment, issue and check your license, send you the downloads and the emails about your order, answer your messages, keep the service secure, and improve the tools. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who helps us run MO.tool
We use trusted providers that process data for us: Cloudflare (hosting, database and file storage), Google (sign-in), our payment providers (for example a card checkout provider, PayPal, and banks), and an email service for order and account emails. They may process your data in other countries. We share only what each of them needs for its job. We may also share information when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. It is needed for the site to work, so there is no cookie banner to accept. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and license data while your account is open. We keep order records as long as needed for accounting and to handle disputes. Security records are kept for a limited time. You can ask us to delete your account, and we will delete or anonymize your information unless we must keep part of it by law.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Message us using the details below and we will answer as soon as we can. If you are in a country with data protection laws such as the UAE or the EU, you also have the rights those laws give you.
Children
MO.tool is made for working professionals and students of engineering and design. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change matters a lot, we will tell you on the website or by email.
